Founded in 2015 by mother and daughter Pernille and Caroline…
…this Denmark-based small family-run business has organically grown to serve knitters worldwide, with their son and brother, Alexander, joining the family venture in 2022.
Initially, they sold baby and toddler knitting patterns when Caroline’s second baby was born. But soon, quickly expanded, designing children’s patterns, and in 2018, created their first adult designs.
To enhance customers’ knitting experience, the family created their own yarn in 2016. The first Knitting for Olive yarn was Merino, and since then, they’ve introduced 6 other Knitting for Olive yarn, including Soft Silk Mohair, Pure Silk and No Waste Wool.
Their vision is to always offer the highest-quality yarn, created from pure natural fibres with respect for animals, workers and the environment.
Knitting for Olive cares highly about animal and social welfare, producing yarn with respect for animals, farmers, production workers and the environment. By using cruelty-free wool and silk, they make sure that sheep, goats and even moths live worthy lives.
